iMac Fun

Fun at Liana and Siopes. Siope has a mac book with the nifty camera built in so i took some time out to take some pictures. Always a good time and i cant wait till i get my own mac. FYI I did the painting in the background for my sisters kitchen. Just encase your wondering. I love painting when i get free time.

Fun Family Weekend

Heres the latest picture of the kids taken yesterday after church. Bella is growing up so fast and the boys are loving it. Jakey is still always asking to "see baby's eyes" and Zion screaming "MY BABY MY BABY!". Such good boys.

Good times where had this weekend with the kids. One of the highlights would be the concert at Tahitian Noni. Full seats, little kids (friends and cousins) dancing on the side of the stage, friends, family , and new comers all coming out for support and a good time. The boys had fun dancing around to the music and it was great to Have some of the Kongaika family come out. Liana, Siope and Leina came too! So nice to see them at one of my shows.

"good times, good times."

Board and Lazy

K so Ive had an interesting time with the whole three kids thing and dealing with my weird hormones. So I feel like my poor kids are so board cuz I never wanna do anything never in the last two months. But then I think wait we do lots of stuff but then I think but mostly its watch finding Nemo. Ive been pretty lax about life latly cuz i am adjusting and trying to make sense of myself...haha. anyways I know it sounds like im rambling but maybe someone can feel what im saying. For Example. Today the kids watched finding Nemo and sesamea street and ran around the house until daddy took them out to the gym and to visit Liana. I made banana bread and put the dishes away. Thats it. I walked over my clean laundry waiting to be folded. I walked over my dirty cloths waiting to be washed. I ignored the popcorn all over the floor from last night and I took a walk with a friend. I fixed the couch and I checked my email and all the sellaband stuff and I read like 50 pages in the book a "theif in the night." some crazy cool stuff up in there:) Anyways soooo...Jakey just walked in and gave me some flowers and now im gunna give em a bath and put them to bed and then what should I do? I forgot that most of the day is also spent with my little baby on my boobie and feeling like I should be doing way way more than I am. Sooo what do I think of my self. I can always do more. anyways I need to just feel better about myself right? I mean Im not super mom and im jsut barely getting used to this whole three kids thing. oh well. try again tomorro say my prayers and do my best right?

"IT MATTERETH NOT" | Thanks Mom

Here's a nice email i got from my mom today. She sends me from time to time some Daily Gems from the church. I like this one cause I've been stressing a bit much about whats going on in our country. I'm not much into politics but recently I've taken some great interest due to disturbing facts about our government. I wont go on to much further then that to save you from boredom, the longest blog post you've ever read, and confusion :) For now just know that really, in the eternal spiritual perspective, "It mattereth not"

"During a perilous period of war, an exchange of letters occurred between Moroni, the captain of the Nephite armies, and Pahoran, the chief judge and governor of the land. Moroni, whose army was suffering because of inadequate support from the government, wrote to Pahoran 'by the way of condemnation' (Alma 60:2) and harshly accused him of thoughtlessness, slothfulness, and neglect. Pahoran might easily have resented Moroni and his message, but he chose not to take offense. Pahoran responded
compassionately and described a rebellion against the government about which Moroni was not aware. And then he responded, 'Behold, I say unto you, Moroni, that I do not joy in your great afflictions, yea, it grieves my soul. . . . And now, in your epistle you have censured me, but it mattereth not; I am not angry, but do rejoice in the greatness of your heart' (Alma 61:2, 9).

"One of the greatest indicators of our own spiritual maturity is revealed in how we respond to the weaknesses, the inexperience, and the potentially offensive actions of others. A thing, an event, or an expression may be offensive, but you and I can choose not to be offended--and to say with Pahoran, 'it mattereth not.'

Baby Blessing

Yesterday we had Bella's baby blessing. It was very nice and simple. my bishop asked me not to invite to many people into the circle so i kept it pretty low key. Mandy's family from Wyoming drove out and a couple of my dads siblings came out as well. It was very nice to have the support. While giving my baby girl a blessing my mind was stuck on the tempting and rapidly changing times she is going to be growing up in. I mainly focused my blessing on her being able to draw on inspiration and strength from family, church leaders, scriptures, etc to able to battle these times. I've seen so many challenges that i never faced growing up just in the last few years that make me worry as a father for my kids. The best i can do is try to equip them with trusting parents and places to go for strength when they need it.

Here are some pictures of happy baby Bella on her special day :)

Juno dis movie?

Sorry for the lame foreign accented title, i couldn't help it.

Mike called me up two nights ago and asked me out on a date haha. He, Ben, and I went to the dollar movies (actually ended up being 2 bucks "what the frik kine is dat!? lol) Dollar movies are supposed to be .50 or 1.00! "cant always get what you want" as someone in the background screams "Jake you cheap skate" haha. Its all good and im glad i brought the extra 3 bucks in QUARTERS hahahaha.

Juno was hilarious. Full of jokes that and one liners that i totally connected with and had me busting up. I swear people in Utah dont laugh enough. Us laie boys where the only dudes laughing in the theater LOL. Made it fun though.

If you dont know Juno is a movie about teenagers that get pregnant in High school, dont abort, and end up giving the baby up for adoption...Go watch it. Funny and real stuff. Some of you might know my friend Mike but he was in the same shoes in high school. He and his girl friend (now wife) got pregnant about the same age as Juno so after the movie i picked his brain for the way things went down effect wise in his life. I wont share that with you but that stuff makes me just a little more aware of what we as future parents will have to be prepared for with the environment our kids are growing up in.

I hate rating movies cause i rate everything as Suck or Awesome! So for Juno i will say Awesome :). Us dudes dug it i think chicks will dig it for sure. Enjoy.

Making my wife SMILE

Mandy has had stressful couple of days latley and i thought of something that might cheer her up. When we started dating she would tell me Jack Handy jokes and just bust up laughing. We are a big fan of the 'lame' joke. The kind only real friends laugh with you about. Where you say one random word and it becomes a joke haha. Lame :). Love it. This is for you baby. Hope it makes you smile :D

Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy

1. If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, let'em
go, because, man, they're gone.

2. If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them
down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason."

3. To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something
when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you
give me a hand?" You can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."

4. One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going
to take my nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old
burned-out warehouse. "Oh no," I said, "Disneyland burned down." He cried
and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good
joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting
pretty late.

5. The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face.

6. Is there anything more beautiful than a beautiful, beautiful
flamingo, flying across in front of a beautiful sunset? And he's
carrying a beautiful rose in his beak, and also he's carrying a
very beautiful painting with his feet. And also, you're drunk.

7. I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not our
children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

8. If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell
him is, "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute
thing to tell him is, "Probably because of something you did."

9. If you ever catch on fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the
mirror, because I bet that's what REALLY throws you into a panic.

10. If you're a cowboy and you're dragging a guy behind your horse, I
bet it would really make you mad if you looked back and the guy was
reading a magazine.

11. For mad scientists who keep brains in jars, here's a tip: why not
add a slice of lemon to each jar, for freshness?

12. I hope that after I die, people will say of me: "That guy sure
owed me a lot of money."

13. If you ever fall off the Sears tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy, and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.

14. If you go parachuting, and your parachute doesn't open, and your friends are all watching you fall, I think a funny gag would be to pretend you're swimming.

15. When you die, if you get a choice between going to regular heaven or pie heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if it's not, ummmm, boy.

And the Best for last baby
16. The wise man can pick up a grain of sand and envision a whole universe. But the stupid man will just lay down in some seaweed and roll around until he's completely draped in it. Then he'll stand up and go, "Hey, I'm Vine Man."

Top Secret | Kind of ( i mean this is a public blog haha)

I dont want to give to much away but i will be working on more footage like this only better. Without the camera guy half drunk pretty much hahaha. No camera noises and smoother camera action. I plan on getting some solid footage filmed in the next couple months and i am SUPER STOKED ABOUT IT!!!

Jake in NYC 2007

Okay so let me explain this video for ya. I edited this and believe me you do not want to watch the original. The film director had a guy dress up in drag (as in drag queen) and chase me around new york city. Ask me what that has to do with WISE WORDS? I have no EFin idea hahaha. In the end he traps me on a dock and all he wants is to give me shades to look out into the world through. Again, what does this have to do with wise words? I don't have the slightest hahaha. SO! This is where i came in and found nice footage but with no purpose and editedededededed it up and put a song that was 'kind of' more relevant Bob Marley's 'Runnin Away' So that's the story. Don't ask me for the original cause I'd be tempted to show you and then you'll never look at me the same hahahaha. Trust me. The drag was pretty scary.

We took a whole day doing this shoot and i sprinted up and down New York streets all day. My feet died at the end of that day and the next day i couldn't feel my legs. Another FYI for ya about this day is that a great photographer came a long and took some photos of me through out the day and the cover of my album is actually from that fun exercising day.

There's a little behind the scenes for ya of the making of the 'dragg queen chasing Jake while taking album cover pictures' video :).

9 years!!!

What a day to have an anniversary hey? Well it Has been nine years since Jake finally held my hand up on the point and started our dating relationship:) Holy Crap I feel a million years old. I'm 26 and Ive been with Jake for the last nine years. Nine!! I keep saying it over and over trying to make it sound real. Time has just flown!! We dated about seven months before his mission then when he got home we got married like that day...lol...its been an interesting journey:) 6years of marriage have been sooooo cool. No more saying goodnight and having a curfew and stuff like that. I love waking up to Jake and I love when he comes home:) I am such a better person because of him. He is so fun and exciting to be around. He always makes me Laugh and gives me goose bumps with his music. I love when he sings the boys to sleep:) He is such an awesome daddy!! I thank my lucky stars everyday that I have such an awesome husband:)
=There are so many things I could talk about today. All the wonderful things about Jake or all the fun things we have done or something:) what a crazy couple of years here in Utah. We are learning and growing and really happy. Jake is performing and making music and loving it. It is super stressful and exciting and fun and so nice to have my home full of his songs. It has been so exciting to watch Jake become a performer and to see his confidence grow. I am so so so proud of him for making our dreams a priority. I don't know very many people who put it all on the line and make an honest effort to make a living at the thing they love most:) Jake is such an inspiration. I never would have imagined our lives to be what they are now nine years ago. I was 17 and excited to have such a nice guy to date:D Oh what a hottie!! hehe;D SO nine nine nine. I still feel 17 just so much more in love and with three kids:) I still get butterflies when I think of Jake and how he looks at me and how he loves us:) I feel so overwhelmed when I think about how far we have come and how much we have learned. We love this life and I cant wait to see what happens in the next nine years:)
Happy anniversary baby:) Yaeee!!!
